Shizuoka, Japan grows this deep savory green tea with umami (savory) flavors with a lingering sweet finish. A rich and brothy texture, this ultra-delicate green tea has an extremely sweet taste. Carefully cultivated by shading sunlight to eliminate any bitterness and to create elevated theanine levels (for active relaxation).

Use 1-1.5 tsp (2.5 g) of leaves per 4oz (120 ml) of water. Brew for 1 to 2 minutes at 150F (for a delicate, smooth, sweet, creamy profile) or at 165F (for a sweet, grassy profile with a full, buttery texture and flavor complexity). Gong Fu style brewing method recommended.

About Our Tea Offerings

Tea measurements and water amount and temperatures vary, based on your personal preferences. We advise rinsing tea for a few seconds before the first infusion, at the same temperature as the brewed water. This softens the leaves for brewing. Filtered water, if possible. Use our brewing instructions only as guidelines. Your preferences are the most important.
