No.30, 2016 Nannuo Sticky Rice Sheng

$4.40$29.70

2016 Nannuo Sticky Rice Sheng. A loose leaf small-batch “raw” tea from the Nannuo Mountain in China that is sun-dried and fired. This tea is blended by hand with a local herb for a sweet sticky rice fragrance. No added manures, pesticides, or soil additives are used and the leaves thrive on their own in their natural environment.  Use 3tsp (5g) of leaves per 4oz (120ml) of water. Rinse, then brew for 3 seconds, increasing the seconds with each steep, up to 8-10 steeps. Bring water to 205-212F for a full extraction of the many flavor layers. Gong Fu brewing recommended.

Origin: Yunnan, China

About Our Tea Offerings

Tea measurements and water amount and temperatures vary, based on your personal preferences. We advise rinsing tea for a few seconds before the first infusion, at the same temperature as the brewed water. This softens the leaves for brewing. Filtered water, if possible. Use our brewing instructions only as guidelines. Your preferences are the most important.

Most of our teas are organic, but some are not Certified Organic. Our tea descriptions will let you know which of them carry the USDA Certified Organic label. Importantly, know that we support and work directly with conscientious, small independent farmers.
